$20 Campground in Bristol VA/TN

We loved this $20 a night (cash only), first-come, first-serve campground in Bristol, Virginia. Sugar Hollow Park is a beautiful city park in the heart of Bristol, but the campground is tucked away enough to feel like you are in a state park. We loved being a close drive to downtown Bristol. It's a great place to explore with cute restaurants, bars, and an amazing bakery. It's on the border of VA and TN so you get a great view of the state line. We got drinks at the Lumac Rooftop bar and watched the sunset. The campground itself has spacious sites, tucked back in the woods. Though it is first-come, first-serve the ranger said they usually always have sites available. All sites have electric, but not all have full access to water, so fill your tank up on your way in or search around to find a site convenient to one of the hoses spread throughout the sites. We chose site 26 and really liked it! We found Sugar Hollow Park while we were looking for a campground to stay at while we rode the Virginia Creeper Trail. A really fun rail to trail bike ride in Abingdon, VA. Sugar Hollow Park is only a 15 minute drive from the bike shop in Abingdon.
